L’histoire de Nikiszowiec remonte au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle, lorsqu’un domaine minier a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 dans le cadre de l’expansion de la mine \u00ab\u00a0Giesche\u00a0\u00bb. En 1907, le propri\u00e9taire de la mine, l’entreprise Erben de Georg von Giesche, a commenc\u00e9 la construction d’un village nomm\u00e9 Gieschewald. Apr\u00e8s les soul\u00e8vements de Sil\u00e9sie, le nom polonais de Nikiszowiec a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9. Le directeur Anton Uthemann a voulu cr\u00e9er des colonies ouvri\u00e8res mod\u00e8les, en engageant des architectes de Berlin, ce qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 des b\u00e2timents esth\u00e9tiques et fonctionnels. <\/p>

Nikiszowiec ressemblait \u00e0 une ville fortifi\u00e9e avec neuf grands immeubles d’habitation dot\u00e9s de cours int\u00e9rieures et d’une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9tails architecturaux. Le domaine \u00e9tait autonome, avec des \u00e9quipements publics et des locaux commerciaux. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le seul b\u00e2timent de trois \u00e9tages \u00e0 Nikiszowiec est l’ancienne cantine, qui \u00e9tait un dortoir pour les mineurs. L’objectif \u00e9tait de limiter les contacts entre les r\u00e9sidents permanents et les nouveaux arrivants. Nikiszowiec s’est install\u00e9 progressivement et le premier r\u00e9sident a \u00e9t\u00e9 Karol Knosalla, le g\u00e9rant de la cantine. Dans l’entre-deux-guerres, la salle de la cantine devint un lieu de rencontre pour diverses organisations et, en 1919, elle fut le t\u00e9moin des \u00e9v\u00e9nements li\u00e9s au premier soul\u00e8vement sil\u00e9sien. <\/p>

Bien que l’h\u00f4tel des travailleurs n’existe plus, la salle de restaurant est rest\u00e9e ouverte aux habitants et aux h\u00f4tes de Nikiszowiec.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
